Stress at Work

The aim of this one day event for managers at all levels, is to look at the nature of stress, its causes and implications both for the individual and the organisation and to look at coping mechanisms and how they could help reduce stress within the workplace. At the end of this one day event for managers, participants should be able to:
  • Define stress and be able to identify and measure the most stressful aspects of work


  • Understand the most common theoretical models of occupational stress


  • Discuss and relate to practice, the role of the environment to workplace stress


  • Understand the role of rewards and incentives to reducing workplace stress


  • Understand evidenced based stress reducing strategies and interventions


  • Understand the nature of burnout and its causality
